Brian T. Mirshak
Brian T. Mirshak actively practices domestic litigation in the Superior and Family Courts of Augusta, Aiken, and the greater CSRA. In addition, Brian handles Probate matters, Juvenile Court Actions, and Personal Injury and contested litigation. Brian’s experience in domestic litigation includes Contested Custody and Divorce actions, Termination of Parental Rights, Adoption, Grandparent visitation, and third-party custody actions.
Brian received his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. After law school, Brian served as a law clerk in the Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Brian also practiced in North Carolina, where he had his own law office prior to deciding to come home to Augusta and join his father’s practice. Brian is a member of the State Bars of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, and is an active member of the Augusta Bar Association, Augusta Family Law Bar Association, and Augusta Bar Foundation, Inc.
Brian is a current executive board member of the Augusta Family Law Bar where he previously served as secretary.
He was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Family Law.
A native of Augusta, Brian attended Aquinas High School and Wake Forest University. Upon graduation from Wake Forest, Brian joined the organization Teach for America and taught in an inner-city Baltimore middle school for three years.
He is married to Valerie and they have three active boys. He attends St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church where he has served on the Church Building Commission, the School Commission, and chaired the school finance committee. He is Cubmaster for the St. Mary on the Hill Cub Scouts, Pack 8.
Brian is also active in the greater Augusta community, and is the immediate Past-President of the Imperial Theatre Board of Directors. During Brian’s time as President of the Imperial, over $1,500,000.00 in capital improvements to the theatre and a new master plan were completed. He is President of the Board of Directors for Villa Marie Apartments, a non-profit low income housing development.
Vicki Jordan
Vicki Jordan has been working with Brian T. Mirshak since 2012. She has 40 years of experience as a Legal Assistant and has worked with many preeminent attorneys in Augusta in various areas of the law.
Suzette McNeely
Suzette McNeely was Timothy S. Mirshak’s Legal Assistant from 2003 until 2017. Suzette now works part-time at Mirshak Law providing bookkeeping and additional legal secretary assistance. Suzette has a wealth of experience in helping to create financial documents for use in complex financial cases.
